The United States has announced that it will reexamine green cards issued to people from 19 countries that the Trump administration says are “countries of concern.” Sierra Leone is one of the countries on that list.
The announcement was made by Joe Edlow, the Director of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). He said that President Donald Trump has ordered a “full scale, rigorous reexamination” of all green cards issued to citizens from these countries. The full list includes nations such as Afghanistan, Sudan, Haiti, Sierra Leone, Iran, Libya, Somalia, and others.
